U2 win 3 Grammy Awards
U2 took away 3 Grammy Awards yesterday night.
At the Grammy-show at the Staples Centre in LA U2's Vertigo ended up with a Grammy for :
- Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal
- Best Rock Song
- Best Short Form Music Video
The band played Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own, a surprising choice, given the fact that it's the single for the rest of the world, whereas the US have All Becausse Of You as a single. (Watch the video at

An all-star rendition of "Across the Universe" can be bought through Itunes.

Sometimes video...
I've been talking about Bono voice a lot since the album came out, but watching the video I suddenly realized the point of keeping the "fake it" in. In a 4-year production, no need to argue that every single beat on the album is there on purpose.
And to have this great opposite of getting something from your dad, wether it's your voice or attitude (or a lot of both...), and the struggle you have with it when he's gone, it's great. I hope they play this song live, and that Bono can take it off every single night...
Speaking of live: I finally managed to get tickets for the three Amsterdam shows, both general admission and seated. Combined with the Brussels tickets that makes four shows to look forward to. To quote The Verve: "I'm a happy man".

Pre-sale success...
So today I managed to get 4 tickets for the Amsterdam show on July 13th.
Combined with the success my friend had getting the Brussels tickets we are now guaranteed to see at least two shows (both General Admission)
Saturday, at the start of the public sale, I'll be lying at the box office, waiting for the rumored additional shows (July 15 & 16) to go on sale.
Nevertheless, this has not been what I expected to get, since U2.com kind of promised me pre-sale advantage to "any" show. Read all about the U2.com membership marketing in an excellent peace by @U2.com, linked below...
legally spoken I guess they can get away by stating that the extra shows were not officially announced and were anticipated to be shoved in in case of high demand.
I still get the feeling something not right...
